An Occupational Therapist (OT) can offer a range of specialised assessments and interventions to support the development of vital skills and enhance quality of life.
At Journey our therapeutic OT services assist children and adolescents to build independence, better manage their emotions, reduce challenging behaviours, learn to self-organise play and activities and maximise success during learning and social interactions
Our OTs currently provide a range of therapeutic services including:
- Sensory assessments and sensory based interventions including sensory modulation and sensory integration approaches
- Fine and gross motor skill assessment and intervention
- Activity planning and meaningful engagement
- Routines and structure
- Self-care and other daily skills
- Emotion regulation skills
- Improving self-esteem
- Play and social skills
We work with children and adolescents aged 7-18 years Including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, mental health diagnoses and other difficulties.
